Motivación y objetivo
En la tanda de envíos de la CLA a los contribuidores han surgido un par de casos en los que se han expresado las dudas de que se ceda el permiso para cerrar gvSIG.
El apartado en cuestión de la CLA es el siguiente:
2. Copyright assignment: You assign all right, title and interest worldwide in copyrights in the Contributions for the full term of their existence to gvSIG Association and the gvSIG Association shall be able to register this assignment. These rights include without limitation the exclusive rights to use, copy, transform or prepare derivative works of, distribute and/or publicly communicate or make available to third parties the Contributions on any licensing terms, including without limitation: (a) free and open source licenses such as (without limitation) the GNU General Public License (GPL), the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), the new Berkeley Software Distribution license (BSD); and (b) binary, proprietary, or commercial licenses.

Esta propuesta pretende modificar el texto de la CLA aprobado en reunión presencial del Board del CDT en Junio de 2010.

Descripción de la propuesta
Se propone eliminar de la propuesta la parte en la que se indica que se cede el permiso para cambiar a una licencia comercial. La cláusula quedaría de este modo:
2. Copyright assignment: You assign all right, title and interest worldwide in copyrights in the Contributions for the full term of their existence to gvSIG Association and the gvSIG Association shall be able to register this assignment. These rights include without limitation the exclusive rights to use, copy, transform or prepare derivative works of, distribute and/or publicly communicate or make available to third parties the Contributions on any licensing terms, including the GNU Public License v2 or any later version, or any other license determined to be a free software license by the Free Software Foundation (“FSF”) or approved as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative (“OSI”).
Justificación de votos negativos
No ha sido necesaria la justificación de los votos en contra de la propuesta.
Resolución
El 25 de noviembre de 2010 se resuelve esta propuesta a favor (a falta de la votación de uno de los miembros por circunstancias de urgencia).
