by Mario Carrera last modified 2012-10-04 12:32

To install i3Geo, the package corresponding to the operative system must be downloaded firstly. The following installations are available:

  • Linux: There are two distributions:
    • .deb file, that install i3Geo and all the dependences.
    • .zip file, that contains only the “i3Geo” folder.
  • Windows: The .zip file contains the “ms4w” and “i3Geo” directories (in the folder ms4w/apache/htdocs).

To continue with the installation:

  • Linux: it's necessary to install the software that covers the necessary environment to start i3Geo. Consult "Requirements" further down.

MapServer must be installed to run i3Geo. The information about how to install Mapserver is available here

  • Windows:ms4w” is a package for Windows that includes Apache, PHP and MapServer installed already. The MS4W folder must be copied at the local directory (C:\). After copying it, consult the "c:\ms4w\readme.txt" file, where it's explained how to run Apache and i3Geo.

Consult previous requirements.
